A website for Lee Hopkins

Welcome to my website dedicated to rugby league player Lee Hopkins. He's played for Penrith and Parramatta in the Australian NRL, and Harlequins RL in the UK Super League. In 2008, he played for the Windsor Wolves in the Australian Premier League competition before retiring on 14 June.

Hoppo's Very Last Stand

Lee played his very last rugby league game on 14 June 2008. The Windsor Wolves were at home to the Cabramatta Two Blues, and won 36-28. In line with a grand tradition, Lee successfully kicked the last conversion.

But getting back to the website...

My name is Jules, and I've been a fan of Lee's since his Parramatta days. I like Lee because he always plays his heart out, and gives 110% to the team. I like him because he's a forward with terrific skills; he doesn't only make the hard yards but is a real playmaker. I like him because he's what Aussies might call a 'quiet achiever'. And it doesn't hurt that he's handsome, too.

Thanks are due to Lee and his delightful wife Rochelle for their friendship and support. I've really enjoyed being a Quins fan, and they were certainly a big part of that for the first two years of the newly-badged club.

Thanks are also due to Ray Willmott, official photographer for QuinsRL, for generously allowing me to feature his wonderful photography. All photos are by Ray, unless otherwise credited. You can find the full versions on the Harlequins RL official website and Ray's FOTO-GRAFFIC site (see the Links page).

I hope you enjoy the site. It is, as you'll see, a work in progress, so please come back again soon to check out my additions and updates. Feedback and requests are welcome!

Don't forget you can leave a message for Lee (or for me!) through the form on my Contact page. I'll post the messages for Lee on that page, and ask him to drop by every now and then.

cheers, Jules
